Our customer was growing but needed additional services to maintain their market share.  We assessed their operations and performed an independent analysis of market opportunities.  This information served as a basis for their long-term planning.  As a result of our collaboration, they have developed a group of specialty services leveraging their existing financial and organizational resources resulting long-term growth.

After partnering for several project audits with a major utility company and gaining an understanding of the customers project management capabilities and business requirements,  Symphony was selected to lead an internal project team in developing customized project management program. This project encompassed tailored curriculum development that incorporated a variety of best of market programs to serve the electric and gas markets project management needs.  Our consultants also oversaw train the trainer, project managers and team members training in the US and internationally.   This curriculum continues to result in many successful project implementations.

An international manufacturing company needed to know more about their cash flows from their eight major business units.  We helped them review their cash management, investments, risk management, insurance, financial reporting/accounting, sales tax, and accounts payable processes.  In the context of historical performance, peer benchmarking and simulation modeling, new opportunities were uncovered for generating cash, improving operations, and reducing the cost of funds.

Technology had jumped well ahead of our customer’s print and online offerings with competitors edging ahead of them in the internet world.   After a significant capital investment in a web application, they were left with an online presence that was crippled by hardware and software inadequacies.  In conjunction with the client staff, our consultants provided triage analysis, project planning and leadership that resulted in a quick shore up of the website and supporting applications.  Following that Symphony worked to develop  new online product enhancements, marketing and promotional plans, and redeployment of the web application to support other media companies.  Today, this company is a leader both in print and online media.
